Overit's motion design director Lawrence Basso reached out to Distortions Unlimited after watching the first few episodes of "Making Monsters" on the Travel Channel®. With the thought of having Overit's mascot Stu built life-size for our office, our communication led to a trip to the Distortions Unlimited headquarters, our involvement in an episode of the television show and the design and development of the company's new website by our team.
The goal of the website redesign was to provide Distortions Unlimited with something unique and up-to-date that would set the company apart from its competition. Most Halloween product creators and spooky mask, prop and animatronics fabricators tend to lean toward designing websites full of Halloween references, such as spiders, jack-o-lanterns and witches.
Our photographer captured the molding, fabricating and creation aspects of the business, and we let those images drive the overall feel of the site. The result was a modern, simplistic and responsive website that featured large photos of their hands-on processes and drove people to their online shop.
