Summary

Overit PR looked to position Kogeto as a leading start-up in the panoramic video camera accessory space through launching a product through top industry leaders and Twitter voices. From this positioning, Kogeto had one of the top Kickstarter crowdfunding projects of all time, and Dot continues to be in top demand from both influential technology/digital outlets and mainstream press.

Media Relations/Tradeshow Management/Social Media:

Media Relations

Overit PR scheduled a national media tour, which resulted in day-of coverage from Forbes to Fast Company. Articles like VentureBeat and Engadget to Business Insider created nearly 7,000,000 online impressions on day one alone. The media interest has extended to outlets like The Ellen DeGeneres Show, who will be featuring Dot throughout the upcoming season. Post launch, Overit PR has secured media hits from LA Times, Financial Times, USA Today and other major publications.

Social Media

Twitter mentions were coming in at over 500 an hour, and it became such a popular product that TechCrunch pulled one of their bloggers away from another presentation to learn more about Dot. This success spilled over to Kickstarter, where Kogeto raised nearly $30,000 in one day to surpass their funding goal within 24 hours of launching their product.

Tradeshow and Event Management

TechCrunch Disrupt is a technology conference and competition to showcase start-up ideas in front of major VC portfolios.  Dot went up against thousands of applicants and ended up in the exhibit hall called Start Up Alley.  Despite now being chosen to compete, Kogeto’s Dot received more press and social media coverage than any other exhibitor or presenting company.
