Jill Mescia
“Teamwork allows common people to obtain uncommon results.”
– Pat Summit, Head Coach, University of Tennessee Lady Vols, 8-time NCAA champions
Jill grew up with a basketball in her hands and an instinctive passion for the women’s game. As a former player* and now a coach of her daughter’s team of middle schoolers, Jill has always been intrigued by the strategy, preparation, and leadership that each game and practice requires. For her, the intangibles of hustle, heart, and teamwork are just as important as skill development, stats, and experience.
Lifelong love of the game recently brought Jill to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the New York Liberty won its first WNBA championship since the league’s inception in 1997. The wait was long, but the victory was sweet. Ask Jill about that OT thriller sometime; she may get a little misty-eyed.
It makes sense, then, that a passion for the X’s and O’s of strategy, effective communication, and the data to tell the story, led Jill to the Overit team, where she’s an Account Manager focused on priorities:
- aligning business needs with targeted, effective, and measurable approaches.
- gathering data for insights and decision-making.
- solving problems creatively and proactively.
- building relationships centered on trust, honesty, and clarity.
- supporting initiatives that move business forward for her clients.
Before joining Overit, Jill spent nearly a decade leading trust and safety strategy and operations for a major global online marketplace. As an accomplished people leader who used innovative technology solutions and research, she developed programs to foster a positive and safe experience for millions of users. Prior to her work in trust and safety, Jill studied at Full Sail University and held various positions in the service industry. For Jill, it’s always about bringing together the right people at the right time to make the right things happen for the business and for her team.
*Jill still holds two three-point records (both for a single game and season) at Ichabod Crane High School.
