The woman (she’d rather be some sort of tree). The myth (she’s from Troy, it’s not that mythical). The legend (that’s a stretch). The new designer (perfect). Johanna sits way too close to the computer at times and has purchased blue light glasses just for this job. But before working at Overit and protecting her retinas, she graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2019 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Film/Video studies, the latter of which she uses solely to point out the Wilhelm scream in movies.

Her previous occupations include being the Graphics and Marketing Coordinator for The Fort William Henry Corporation in Lake George, New York, and doing freelance illustration/design for theSkimm and other various companies. Achievements include curating her wardrobe to be almost 100% thrifted, successfully traversing on a snowboard, watching 80 Best Picture Nominated films out of 579 (the goal is not at all in sight), perfecting her biscotti recipe over the pandemic, and finally finishing a book for the first time since 2018. It was Nights in Rodanthe and she read it while in Rodanthe, how meta.

As one of the Designers at Overit, Johanna will be assisting on a variety of projects with the hopes of getting her hands on a motion design project in the future. Feel free to come up with your own nickname for her, she has many she goes by such as Jojo, Jo, Joj, JT, Jojoba, Supreme Pun Master, the list goes on.
