Hailing from Birmingham, England, Toby is our resident “Englishman in New York” and a true web pioneer, having built websites and applications since 1996. Over the last nearly three decades, his expertise has evolved from static HTML to dynamic, data-driven PHP applications. After earning his AAS in Information Technology (Web Development) in 2002, Toby expanded his toolkit to include ASP and ColdFusion, though these days he primarily focuses on crafting custom WordPress themes and plugins.

A versatile full-stack developer, Toby is highly proficient in SQL, JavaScript, and CSS, routinely integrating payment gateways, remote APIs, and complex data services. He also manages Linux servers, web security, and performance optimization to ensure our clients’ sites run flawlessly.

Since joining the team in 2016, Toby has become an invaluable asset, spearheading major development projects for high-profile clients like Proctors Theatre and the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA). His collaborative work with our creative designers has earned the agency multiple Webby Awards.

Off the Clock: When he isn’t coding, Toby loves exploring the outdoors with his wife, JoAnn, and their daughters, Charlotte and Lucy. Whether they are chasing waterfalls, hiking, spending the day on Lake George, or traveling somewhere new, they are always up for an adventure. He is also an avid sports fan, cheering on Manchester United and following Formula One—with a bucket-list dream of experiencing both live.
