Seeking to raise awareness throughout New York State about problem gambling, its risks, warning signs and treatment options, the New York Council on Problem Gambling has partnered with Overit on many statewide campaigns, from branding and strategy through website creation and post-launch promotion.
The greatest effort, KnowTheOdds.org, has educated New Yorkers through a steady stream of social media interaction and frequent blog posts, supported by ebooks, infographics and PSAs in both English and Spanish. The child-focused DontBetYet.com features an animated cartoon (created entirely in-house at Overit!), worksheets, a storybook and more to help parents initiate the conversation about problem gambling.
Overit has also been responsible for the design and development of the NYCPG brand website, along with the microsite creation and branding for You(th) Decide NY, the New York Responsible Gambling Hub, and the Queens Center for Excellence, all focused on raising awareness of problem gambling with specific audiences.
